A DATE WITH COSMO LAMB

“A closeted 1950’s movie star gets set up on a promotional studio date with a star-struck, devoted fan. Cosmo & Candy meet three times over the course of the next decade (1958, 1963, &1968) and we follow along as their lives change with the times. An honest look at the pressure the world places on us, the pressure we place on ourselves, and the often bizarre ways these pressures explode into the world with puffs of deranged behavior and excess. “A Date With Cosmo Lamb” takes a peek behind the curtain of the “picture” business during one of its most dramatic periods of change.”

PATTON OSWALT RUINED MY ORGY

PATTON OSWALT RUINED MY ORGY

A group of lonely sad sacks go about their gray, murky day to day lives in the City of Angels. A Park Ranger. A bored, old-movie obsessed Insurance Investigator. A Bikini Bartender at a Bikini Bar. Circumstances conspire to bring them all together at an orgy. And – yup – Patton Oswalt does, in fact, ruin it. I swear. Not even that far in. For real. There’s also a really lazy drug deal, a bunch of goofy shenanigans, and a trip to Solvang. You know. Where they shot William Castle’s “Homicidal.”

HIGHLAND PARK

HIGHLAND PARK –

–  seeks to tell the story of a community in flux, focusing on a diverse array of perspectives. From homeless alcoholics to small business owners, seedy schoolteachers to transgender romantics. Characters circle around each other and pop up in the background of each others lives as new relationships are forged and a neighborhood looks to find its identity.

Highland Park follows in the tradition of Short Cuts, Love Actually, and High Maintenance; effortlessly weaving together a multitude of characters into not just a story, but a saga of life, love, heartbreak, struggle, change, and community.

To tell these stories we’re looking for as many strong and bold voices as we can possibly find. Directors, Actors, Producers, Performers, Storytellers – anyone who has something to say is welcome to contact us at highlandparkshorts@gmail.com
