As the mystery unfolds he finds himself dropped smack dab in the middle of a detective yarn set in the bright, pastel hues of a Los Angeles that’s a literal dream factory. Seedy nightmares, Day-Dream Dames with a capitol “D,” crooked cops, and wisecracking Gal Friday’s all have their part to play as Winston tries to untangle a blood stained knot.
